Native of Morocco, in El Hajeb, a small town at the foot of the Middle Atlas, I was very early on influenced by the natural charm of this region and the surrounding countries, by the warmth of human contacts, the kindness and the sense of welcome of its inhabitants, especially in rural areas.

In short, it was an ideal environment which encouraged me to practice drawing and painting, despite the lack of means and learning opportunities (at the time, there was no teaching dedicated to the plastic arts). As the years went by, with the demands of my studies, and just after, in 1992, the start of my professional life, I had to put aside my pencils and brushes.
In 2002, by returning to the amphitheater to follow a course in development studies  in Geneva, I was able, at the same time, to have contacts with artists from different disciplines. The cosmopolitan character of this city, the diverse nature of the cultural events that take place there as well as the discovery of its museums, ended up reviving my artistic streak.

I am a self-taught person, always in search of improvement by treating various themes and subjects, with a predilection for the portrait. But it is not only a question of technique, before approaching a very precise work, I always try to question the symbolic aspect which decreed such a choice, to imagine the emotional impact on those who will visualize it. The realistic aspect of the work gains more by eliciting reactions as different from each other, especially when it comes to portraits and /or figures.
